What We Do

We live by the “Always Something” Mantra.

It’s tempting to give into the “all or nothing mentality” when you are trying to make a positive change. Instead, we try and say, “Always Something.” It’s easy to come up with a list of things you can’t do, but what “CAN I do” is a much better mindset. We hope our kids will pick up on this and focus on what they “can do.”

We help families learn to live a healthy lifestyle.

We have found that living a healthy lifestyle isn’t as complicated as people make it out to be. We understand that not everyone in the family is on the same page and that every family has its own unique dynamics. We emphasize small daily habits that eventually lead to big changes. We strive to eat a whole foods diet and teach our clients how to make their favorite recipes with better ingredients. Living a healthy lifestyle is much easier if the whole family is committed to growing together.

What We Strive For

Healthy and Delicious Food

Let us show you that Healthy Food and Delicious Food are not mutually exclusive. There is no such thing as “good food” and “bad food.” However, if your goal is to be healthy physically, mentally, and spiritually your diet can have a huge impact! Let us show you how to keep enjoying your food, while also working towards your health goals. Also, there is no such thing as “kid food” in our house. We all eat the same meal. We get to show our kids what “normal” is. It’s okay if your kids don’t like everything you make. However, if everyone participated in making the food the likelihood of them at least trying it goes up a lot. Keep introducing new foods and keep reintroducing old foods and your kids will surprise you.

Stronger Family Relationships

There is nothing more important than cultivating strong family relationships. As a parent, kids can make it so much harder to make time for a healthy lifestyle. To combat this, we involve our kids as much as possible when it comes to preparing and eating food. You get to kill two birds with one stone by spending quality time together and by eating a healthy meal. It is not uncommon to see us working out in our backyard with kids running all around us. It’s not perfect, but it is the best we are able to do somedays. Plus, it’s not uncommon for our kids to join us and we love that they are seeing us prioritize our health.

Regular Exercise and Recovery

Exercise is a vital part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. While health and wellness start in the kitchen, exercise and recovery are next most important. Exercise looks different for everyone. Also, you should never exercise beyond what your body is capable of recovering from. Once we learned this, our fitness gains skyrocketed. If your body is not getting the recovery it needs your exercise is just hurting you. We strive for daily movement and only do things we like to do. So if lifting heavies at the gym is your thing then do it, but strive to do movement that is sustainable and brings you joy.
